Moments in My Favorite Parks” is Christine’s fifth major solo photography exhibition in Singapore and it is the second exhibition of the "My Singapore" series, after 2021's "Moments in My Neighborhood". The exhibits explore Christine’s favorite parks and urban jungles in Singapore and the pictures featured in the exhibition form part of the second volume of the book series "My Singapore". The photographs for this and the 2021 exhibits are all taken in Singapore, in the neighborhood of Christine’s home and in the parks, gardens and nature reserves.

2021 Photo Exhibition @ The UltraSuperNew Gallery, Singapore: Moments in My Neighborhood

“Moments in my Neighborhood” was ChristinesArtVentures fourth solo exhibition following 2018’s “A Moment in Time”, 2019’s “Moments and More”, and 2020’s “Moments Suspended” exhibition.

As the Covid-19 pandemic continued into its second year, causing lockdowns of various degrees and continuing to turn our ‘normal’ daily life as we know it upside down, I have not been able to follow my passion for landscape, travel, and nature photography as I would normally have.

Instead, I started to take a closer look at my neighborhood in Singapore as hunting grounds for motifs for my photography.

This led to the idea to publish my photographs taken in Singapore in a series of books.

The first book in this series will be “Moments in my Neighborhood” and the pictures of this exhibition will be featured in this book.

2020 Photo Exhibition @ The Substation, Singapore: Moments Suspended

“Moments Suspended” was Christine’s third major solo exhibition following 2018’s “A Moment in Time” exhibition and 2019’s “Moments and More” exhibition.

Whereas Christine’s first solo exhibition, “A Moment in Time”, was a retrospective of her work from 1998 to 2018, “Moments and More” and “Moments Suspended” focused on her recent photographic work.

Since the last exhibition in November 2019 the world has changed dramatically. The Covid-19 pandemic has turned the year 2020 upside down for all of us. Plans scrapped and other, sometimes dire consequences. Christine counts herself lucky that she can follow her passion – at least to a certain extent – at home in her improvised home studio, and with the help of her computer. Of course, she would much rather have gone outside and travelled with her camera.

For Christine, this extraordinary year sometimes felt as if time had come to a halt. Everything suspended. Time and moments suspended.

2019 Photo Exhibition @ The Substation, Singapore: Moments & More

Moments & More was ChristinesArtVentures second solo photo exhibition.

The exhibition focused on the beauty Christine sees, be it in nature or in a detail catching her attention in the city. While doing some work for a photo competition, she also started to experiment with still lives. However, she did not want to create the traditional re-creation of an oil painting-like still life. This led to her experimenting with minimalism and objects she collected during her ventures into nature.

2018 Photo Exhibition @ Trinity Art Space: A Moment in Time

A Moment in Time was the first solo photo exhibition organized by ChristinesArtVentures. The exhibition was a retrospective of Christine’s photographic work taken over a span of 20 years, from 1998 to 2018.
